couple of electrical problems
2001 FLSTSCI
First problem started soon after 50k checkup, state inspection and front tire change.
Guage/accessory fuse blows when I get to 68/69 MPH, this is consistant.
result: speedo, Odometer, horn, brake and turn lights don't work. Security system still works.
(it's a pain to change the fuses)
2nd prob:
After the bike starts, the red light on the speedometer stays on for about 20 secs.
and, after the bike has warmed up, and when downshifting, when I come off the throttle between gears
the engine quits. I can prevent this by keeping the revs up a bit between gears.
The bike will start right back up.
I was looking through the forum for this last problem and it sure sounds like it may be related to the
speed sensor.
Any suggestions, especially on the first one?

RE: couple of electrical problems
Got both problems fixed.
The fuse blowing at 68 MPH was self inflicted. I remembered that I tried to fix an open front fender light wire.
The wire was so corroded that the fix added resistance to the circuit. I guess with everthing on and the bike at the
right speed, the current draw was too much and no more fuse. Anyway, I took the bike in for the stalling problem:
they replaced the fender light wire, and the intake seals.
Both problems solved.
