Do you notice this mostly when you turn off the key?? I felt that one coming!
Only thing that comes to mind, did you check the GROUND side of the circuit, most often overlooked, and don't rule out a bad tach, even though the dealer says it's OK, they probably just wired it up once , it worked that time and all is OK with them. Electrical problems of this sort are often intermittent.
One other thing is to check the wire leads with a meter to see if you may have a broken wire inside the insulation

RE: Tach shuts down
TxMoores, I checked everything, but will take another look at the ground. My time is free, and I really don't want to have to spend the big bucks on a new one unless I have to. I may just run a second ground wire to the unit to see if that helps. if it does, I will know the cable is bad.
Thanks.
Joe
