Default I believe you need to click on

the 'Get Map' button for the PCV to open up the map on your bike. The map won't just appear without that step. Not 'Open Map' since that's the one for finding the maps your PVC software comes with for all the different combo's. Hope this helps.

Default Once you're plugged in and bike is running

click on 'GET MAP'. The map that opens up is the map that is currently installed. Is that not working for you?

echo:

"get map" = retrieves map from Power Commander
**if there's a doubt youre connected, click on "information" and it will read your PCV serial number and model telling you it "Sees" the PCV

"save map" - Saves the map currently being VIEWED to a file on your PC (you can save before editing it, that way you can reload your old one if you screw up.)

"load map" - Loads whatever map is currently in view, onto the PCV. At this point, you can yank the cord, turn it off, whatever, and it's burned onto the PCV EEPROM.

You can open / view and compare any combination of maps, and as long as you don't "load map" onto the PCV, then you can just close the App, and go on about your business, no harm no foul.

Really couldn't be a whole heck of a lot simpler...

Default "load Map" doesn't exist on the PCV

Unless you mean "Send Map" Might be simple for some but not all. Condescension isn't what we're going for here.
