I just had my motor built and have played around with the caned maps from dynojet.I still have a flat spot. I have a very good tuner in mind, but i was wondering what the going rate was.
yep, 300 seams fair. We get 250 but I think it depends on the area you're in. I would just be leary about the ones that charge by the hour. IMO you shouldn't have to pay extra if the tuner is having computer problems or is hungover or something.
mine was 375 ran it 70+ times... depends on the type of tuner you have some are easier than others.. for example the SERT has to be uploaded then reloaded and shut down to make changes then dyno'd again... takes a bit more time than some tuners that allow you to adjust on the fly...

Depends on the build and how close a starting MAP is, but yes, over 70 pulls is VERY typical of a full tune. 2 full passes at every throttle position for both cylinders individually is the minimum. We have a very large database of tuned MAPs in our archives, so chances are we have a MAP close to most builds to start with. On a mild build we can usually load a close MAP, make a set of passes, make adjustments and make another set of passes to verify the adjustments we made, correct further if needed.
