2005 ultra overheating and no power

Default 2005 ultra overheating and no power

new oil pump, plugs, wires, engine temp sensor, fuel filter and removed pcIII and still same. any thoughts on map or crank sensor? also checked for vac leaks.

sounds like you are throwing parts at this thing...how did this all start?

thought about getting it into an experienced tech for a diagnosis?

Did you put new cams in? One tooth off maybe? Would explain the lack of power and overheating unless it was doing that before you started all the other work.

Did you align the oil pump when you installed the new one?

I had a bike do the same thing a few years back. Turned out to be a pinched "O" ring in the cam chest. It pretty common on these things.

ran great for 3 weeks before this started half way thru a sun ride. has a new fueling oil pump that i did carefully install and seems to be workin great w/ no sumping (checked, only a ounce or less).
