I have just bought a 2006 night rod. i was wondering what was a good soft ware to tune with for my bike? Also where can I purchase the software as well? I was told by the salesman that the bike had a tune on it but I dont know what type, I looked to see if I could fined a box or anything that does not look factory but could not fined anything. Where would a pc be located on a 06 v-rod? Thanks in advanced

 

Usually tuners are located under the seat or close to the ECM which it ties in to. I'm not too familiar with V-Rods, but logically any tuner should be associated with the ECM.

 

Look under the passenger seat, if it has a PC you will be able to see it plugged into the ECM under the seat, if it has a Race tuner or Super tuner you will not be able to detect it visually, you can take it to a Harley Dealer and have them hook it up to Digital Tech II and read the calibration i.d from the ECM, that will tell them if it's been changed via SERT, SEST or download.
