Default Have spark, no fuel delivery, new ECM

My Thundermax ECM went out on my 04 Road Glide. I had no spark. I put a stock ECM in, now it starts up right away but stops running right away like it is getting no fuel. FI fuse is good. I hear the fuel relay fire up when I turn the switch on which seems to pump the fuel once to start the engine. Should I be able to just plug this ECM in and go or do I have to have something done by a Harley tech. before it will start? I have the TSM in that doesn't have the alarm or need a password. It seems like maybe the ION sense signal is not getting to the system relay. Any info or suggestions appreciated.

When you say you put a stock ecm in the bike. Is it the ecm that came with the bike new or one you just purchased for the bike. Sounds like you need to do the ecm learn for the module.

Security systems issues could cause this but also if you lost connection to the crank sensor, either by a bent pin, broken wire you can also get this symptom. The Ecu starts things up but gets no indication the bike is running so shuts every thing down.

I beleive the new ECM has to be "married" to the bike with the proper info so it knows what it is it has to do.

Did you put the stock O2 sensors back in?

Thanks for all the tips. I think you are right about mating the ecm to the bike. Everything else checks out good like the crank pos. sensor, continuity etc. Thanks again to all
