Intermittent Starting Problem on my ’09 Softail Deluxe
#12
Sorry to hear that you are having the same problem! My ’09 Deluxe is still having that same problem, and I keep getting the same answer from the dealer “we can’t duplicate the problem”! I’ll bet they’ll be able to “duplicate the problem” when the warranty is over! I’m thinking the problem is, indeed, somewhere in those handlebar switches, and I suppose I will eventually end up having to pay to have them replaced!
For what it’s worth, I have not been stranded anywhere, the bike does eventually start! I know this is of no real help to you, but you’re not alone for what that’s worth to you!

After checking all my electrical circuits and plugs I finally realized the only thing I didn't check was the battery in the key fob. Replaced the battery, hit the start button and I'm back in business. $2.47 is a whole lot better than what I was going to have to pay if I took it to the dealer.
