Default 07 Softail SERT canned map choice help ASAP please

My friend has a 07 Softail Standard with the stock 96" motor, V & H Big Radius 2 into 1 pipe, Stage 1 A/C and a SERT.

He just got the SERT and I need to know which map would be the closest to his setup?

I'm leaning towards the # 67 - 2007- 2008 Shotgun / Shorty Dual Style Exhaust 1580 SE A/C with Race Exhaust, but I would like to know if anybody has a closer or better suggestion for the canned map to install. I was also looking at #78 but was wondering if it will run a little bit rich with that map?

Is there a Stage 1 download canned map in the software CD for the SERT, or is that only available from the dealer?

I plan on loading the map tomorrow morning so some help ASAP would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm using SERT 4.77 version software and I just loaded the # 67 canned map on my buddy's 07 Softail and he took it for a spin and said that it seems to run stronger and it doesn't pop on decel now no matter what he did, he couldn't get it to pop.

I'll let him run it that way for a bit and then we'll collect some data from it to see if I need to modify the map for him and reload it.

The #67 map may be a little closer base map than the #78 just based on exhaust, but it is still a shot in the dark. Until the ve tables are properly calibrated you really have no idea what afr you are running at. Some spots will may be leaner and others may be richer than what you are asking for on the afr table.

Go with the #67 map and do smart tunes runs to adjust the VE tables.

If you have the SERT and not the SESPT there is no smarttune.

You are correct, but I notice that many seem to say SERT when what they have is an SESTP. He says he just got it so it is likely a SESTP.

Could be except SERT is the only one that uses the numbers like #67 or #78 in the calibration descriptions. Even if it is a SERT it can probably be upgraded to a TTS for $100.

He would have to have a SERT using software 4.77.

SERT was made by The Turbo Shop (TTS). I think with the '08 models they were dropped by HD in favour of the SESPT made by SPX. The SERT is now marketed as TTS Mastertune. It is the same format as the SERT but with the most "tools" in the box of any device on the market. It also has some great tech support, which is non existant for the SESPT.
