05 ULTRA 15K miles, fuel injected 88 lunges between 2000 and 3000 RPM unless I'm more aggressive on the throttle, back fires on de-cell. stock pipes put back on still does both. No other mods... any ideas?

 

If you have a tuner
Increase the Acelleration Inrichment in the areas you mentioned -for hesitation.

For backfire on decell could be two things, one or both

Too rich at zero% throddle opening--as you slow down. Lower the VE of each cilender at Zero % Throddle some at 2500RPM -1500 RPM. Slowing down areas.
Too rich between shifts if backfire at that place. Increase the decelleration.-thats something just effects for a sec or two. Like between shifts.

 

Fortunately it doesn''t backfire while shifting up, I'll seek out a tuner and give it a shot. I have new pipes and a K&N coming so I'll wait and do it once the new mods are on the bike. Thanks for the input.
