I also think the best option is buying another PC and installing myself, as I did with this one...
Is the PC out of warranty was my question. They have a year on them. Fuel Moto here extends the warranty to two year and sends it out to ya mapped for your specs. Seems everyone here that's used them is extremely happy.

I hope 3yrs is not typical life expectancy for these things, I just plunked down $300 for a PCV from FuelMoto.

Great, thanks for the "good news"

Is there another option?

Will dealer load a new file in the stock ECM? (emissions regs)

THANKS
If your bike has O2 sensors, your best option may be the TTS tuning kit. They've been out a couple years and works very well dialing in your specific bike. No add on module to break, and you calibrate the VEs yourself. You get back the ability to adjust automatically to the crappy fuel that sometimes is out there.

If you arre worried about running too lean with that free flow filter, put duct tape over half of it, that will provide some restriction. The dealer download will cost you maybe $150 and you will lose performance. Put the $150 into another PCV or TTS (about $400 if you call around)

If he was happy with his old PC, has a map and just needs a replacement - the best thing to do would be to put on like equipment and start riding it again. No tuning worries if he has the ability to load the old map back on.

If you purchased the PC from us you can give us a call at 877-729-4754, we would be happy to test the unit for you and see what is going on. The actual failure rate we have tracked is less than a quarter of 1%
