Just got my first harley. 2001 fx hd. Was running down the highway and speedo and odometer died, turn signals would turn on but not cancel. While pulling off the road everything came back online, once on the road again same problem. I can get the problem to replicate, alls well at low speed but once the tach hits 1800-2000rpm speedo and odo are a no go. Im pretty sure I have a loose wire somewhere but would really appreciate some advice as where to start. Thanks for your input/ time

Mine did this....02 FLTCI...turned out to be the voltage regultor.

 

I just had an aftermarket speedo/tach do the same thing. Only 2 months old. Sent it back. Factory one is working fine.
