got an HD tach to install on my '10 FXSTC. Man, can they make something that used to be easy difficult. Says you need a 'packard crimper' and a 'packard micro crimper'. Now, a net search yielded neither at dealers but one place in germany sells them for a couple of hundred....

anyone know, how can you crimp those tiny terminals in a way that will work and not cost so much?

Its been awhile, but I used a needle nose pliers and was careful. You need to make sure the pin fits back into the connector, if I recall there was not much tolerance. The page I bookmarked no longer exists but I think there were detailed instructions posted over in the dyna forum about 6-8 months ago.

check e-bay. we have crimper and termimals at work. or check with waytec,com this is were we get electrical stuff from.
