Bought my old 1997 RoadKing Police from work after we got new ones. Dealership took old bike in to pull all police equipment off before turning it back over to me. Prior to returning it to dealership bike ran fine. Got it back and it doesnt work at all. Lights come on, fuel pump fires up and starter cranks the motor but wont catch. There is NO smell of fuel in the throttle body as if injectors arent working. After going over the bike only thing that jumps out is a pink wire with blue strip that comes from one of the relays under the seat and goes to the ECU. This wire has been cut, with the end attached to the relay being live. Before I go ahead and reconnect does anyone know what this wire might control? Could it keep the injectors from firing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

There are at least two relays needed for fuel pump. That severed wire could be either the crank position sensor relay wire or throttle position sensor wire.

 

I don't know if this helps, but on the wiring diagram for a 2001 touring bike, on pin #35 of the ECM harness there is a pink/blue wire that goes to the ECM power relay. I would have to believe this is your problem....Tom
