Has any got a Accel SLM tuner on their bike.

I'm looking to buy one in the next month or so and would love to hear about their thoughts on them.

Anyone with before and after comparisons? Comments on how their bike runs now. Hot/cold, MPG, throttle response.

 

I have the Accel SLM - 05 on it's way , be here 7 / 22, found it on Ebay , made offer at lower price and got it. Like you I have researched the net and found the same info as you. Once installed I will post an initial review then after 5 or 7 hundred miles I'll post here again. Wish me luck , I'm Nevis that it may trough codes or de cell pop . From all that I've read. , the code problem was with the Dyna,s ? I've read the installation instructions , looks fairly easy except the rear 02 Spencer connector , it's under the starter . I'm thinking it unplugs from under the Tank ?

 

I'm look at doing the same. Going to order a SLM03 for my sporty from ebay and see how I go. I will post results along the way.

Order a SLM03 on ebay for $399US from a seller who will post to Australia. Now he is saying he has none in stock and doesn't know when he will get any now in.

 

Had bike dynoed yesterday. It lean for the bottom half of the rev range. I will post graph as soon as I get it. Printer on dyno stopped working. SLM finally arrived today. Will install it on weekend.

 

Previous mod's are S&S Desperado air cleaner and modified the stock pipes. Was getting 44mpg. Will post dyno graph next week when i pick it up.

Instruction straight forward. Took some time to run wiring through neatly. Very tight fit above battery. Bike started fine. Will do some miles tomorrow and post some more as i go.

 

Just a quick note, I have seen people post complaints about the check engine light coming on after starting the bike. In the instructions it tells you about the start up diagnostic system check mode the SLM dose every time the bike is started and it will flash the fuel injection light (check engine light depending on model) as a part of its checks.
