Is it alright to use gasoline additives to the tank to keep the fuel injectors clean on a FLHX? Also can you use carburator cleaner or something similar to clean the throttle body? Thanks for the advise.

 

Yes to both. Follow the directions on the additive.

 

Consumer Reports rated the Chevron fuel injector cleaner to be #1 in performance. Costco sells it in a multi-pack.

 

Try Chevron techron available at autozone/aap or walmart. 2-3 ounces per tank of fuel will do a nice job. I would only use throttle body cleaner that is safe for sensors. carb cleaner can destroy the sensors.
