starter not engaging belt drive
i have a custom bike i built this summer it is now complete and time to crank it over, i have a 2.0kw starter on it with a push button when i go to crank it it just spins and does not come out far enough to engage the belt drive gears. i have taken the bdl belt drive cover of and made a spacer but, it still does not come out any further. i have a fully charged odessy battery which should be more than enough to crank it and one thing that really does not make sense to me is thet when i mocked it all up it tried it out and i worked fine about 2 months ago and nothing has changed since except paint. i dont know if it matters but it has a 100" revtech a harley 5spd and a 3" bdl belt drive and the jackshaft came with the belt drive which was made for the evo + 5spd combo

RE: starter not engaging belt drive
found out what the problem was, bdl didnt send me the instructions so i had the jackshaft spring on wrong, dont know how it worked the first time but i changed it and it is working fine now. the damm battery is to low to get it started so i guess i have to wait for it to charge again. oh and i have a ultima starter on it
