Default Simple PCV Question

I cannot find this on their website and no one seems to want and answer this in other threads; does the PCV allow you to adjust timing/spark tables?

Yes, you can adjust ±10° in 500 areas (250 for each cylinder) of the ignition tables. Here's what the chart looks like for Cyl. 1 (front) on my bike. To advance timing in one cell you enter a positive number, negative to retard.

OK, thanks.

It allows you to adjust from zero (stock HD cam/timing/spark advance settings) but it does not tell you total timing I guess???

Comparing what you copied above to what I see looking at SEST maps, you need to be -3 degrees from 0 for anything 1750 rpms and below to 60% throttle position for your 255 cams on the front cylinder. A lot of other differences as well should be adjusted to get maximum output as well.

Send me your email and I'll send you both sets of tables for you to compare if you want.

No, like fuel adjustment you only see the change from stock.

BTW, like I mentioned on another thread, the timing can be adjusted ±100° when a PIN number is used to unlock the ±10° default limits. You must get that from DJ.

Okay, here it is, and thanks for doing that. I'm having no detonation problems at all with the table above, and I'm using the same config for both cylinders. These numbers in the cruise range were the result of some trial-and-error tweaking soon after installing the cams in March 2009.
