Default Brake Light

Need some help. My brake light is staying on, and my rear brake switch is good (no front switch). I've looked everywhere (i guess not) and can't find the problem. Could the breaker being bad cause a free floe of electricity to the brake light?
1990 HD FXSTC

Thanks,
Rick

I'd start by disconnecting the rear brake switch - see if the light stays on. If it goes out, you have either a bad switch or it's maladjusted. A bad breaker probably wouldn't cause your problem. Sounds more like a bad switch or the wiring connecting it to the light.

Did you replace the bulb? if so is the pins may not be in the correct way ,if it is a Hi/Low andyou put it in backwards(It can happen) the bulb will stay bright all the time.

Glad to hear it's resolved! That's one of those "important" switches.
