EFI cold start fast idle concerns
07 FLHX starts and idles up really fast. Have seen this a lot on EFI vehicles. My concern is lack of oil pressure for that first couple seconds. In the olden days we would have probably kicked the bike over a few times before we got the choke right and the cylinder of choice on the right stroke.
Almost wish I could cancel the ignition system and crank the motor a little before its ready to fire to get some oil flowing. Anyones thoughts ?

You idle steps are programmed into the ecm based on input from the sensors for engine temp and air density....unless your bike has sat for several months you still have enough oil film to protect the engine parts until oil flows to pressure. If you are concerned use synthetic oil as it flows faster on cold start than dino.
