Default PCIII or PCV

I got an 03 bagger with Stage 1, 203 cams, Rinehart True Duals, and a Rev Tech DFO (Digital Fuel Optimizer)with about 40,000 miles. I am looking to change the DFO to a PCIII or a PCV. FuelMoto told me that a PCV will retrofit into an 03 and Drag Specialties told me that I would have to go with a PCIII , in fact they only list the PCV for 09s and 10s,or I could fry the scoot. FuelMoto also told me that they could easily download a correct map for a a pretty common simple setup like I have. I don't have a grand for a SERT and 5 or 6 hours on the Dyno. Any thoughts that might help. The DFO is not broke but very limited, I've had it several years.

Thanks,

Which one is cheaper? the PCIII on your model bike, if cheaper would be fine IMHO.
