Hi every one I need some help I may have the answer myself but i thought iw ould check in here to see if iam on the right trake. I have a custom hd 113 s&s motor, 78 electiric n kicker top loader 4 speed, my problem is at times when i start it up, it seems the starter hangs up and just try's to keep starting and burns out my starter relay and silonod and cooks the battery this has happened twice now. I think a big cranking battery, a all ***** high torq starter presto type should fix the problem. seems as if it is not getting enough juice to crank that 113 up. any help please?

 

Better starter,battery and even battery cables will help.Many so called high torque starters dont live up to your expectations.Ask around before laying down your cash.Compression releases would also aid you if $ is no problem.Starter button at starter might also help out.

 

thanks for the advice pittyguy. compression releases will be done in the near future. I was also thinking of moveing the starter button right to the silo. thanks!
