Speaker noise with radio off

Speaker noise with radio off
Posted this on the Touring page also, but no response there..
I have an 02 Ultra Classic with the stock radio and speakers. The battery was dead, and one of my buddies trying to be 'helpful' put a high amp (40amp)charger on my battery. Now I am getting a crackling sound from the right rear speaker with the bike on and radio off. With the bike running and radio on, I get a constant humming noise from the speaker.
Anyone run into this before??
