What if, in winter time, you pull the battery out and bring it inside.. Do you still have to keep it connected to the Tender? And if so, for how long?

 

If the battery is removed from the bike you should charge it at least once a month.

Charge the battery every two weeks if stored in the vehicle.
If have the alarm and have it activated, connect and leave connected a battery tender to maintain the battery.

 

Connect the tender and leave it on , 7 years on a second bike only used for 8 months a year in NY not as cold as Minnesota but the garage did get below freezing a few times. Even it you bring the battery inside, Connect the tender and leave it on.

 

I set a note on my calendar every year so I don't forget. I disconnect the Battery Tenders without fail on the 12th of Never, and that goes for the one on the AGM battery as well.
