I just finished installing the led gas gauge on my 09 XBNZ. I took care to disconnect the negative ground before doing so. Install was smooth.

When I went to test to see whether it was reading full (bike is stored for winter w/ battery tender, which I also disconnected before install) I turned on the IGN, and all the lights lit up. So far, so good. I then hit the Run switch, but the oil pump didn't fire up, and then the right turn signal indicator on the dash stayed on but not blinking, and the oil light and blinkers started flashing like the security light usually does, but the security light (little key indicator) stayed on and constant. Thinking that I had somehow tripped the security system, I tried to enter security unlock mode by holding down the two turn signals after letting the bike rest for a minute, but I could not get the 5 dashes to display on the ODO. The bike is just frozen. What could the issue be? Thanks for any input.

Never mind. My ground was a little loose, so I tightened it down and everthing is fine. It's always the simple things.
