which wire is the brake light signal ?
which wire going to the rear of the bike underneath the fender is the hot for the brake light?
is it the red with white stripe?
i have no power on this wire and it does not seem to be a ground
my brake light is not working
in short i am having trouble wiring attempting to wire in an LED taillight with 4 LED turn signals
the fronts are working with no problems but i can not seem to get the rears to work properly
i am guessing my TSM is screwed up and that the red wire with the white stripe is the signal for the brake light
any help is appreciated
oh yeah this is on a 2003 EFI night train
i had just the 4 LED turn signals mounted already and they were working fire
tried adding the LED taillight and now i cant get things correct

RE: which wire is the brake light signal ?
Do you have no power to the wire whether brake is applied or not? If no power when brake is applied, check the fuse for the brake lights. On my 03 Dyna, that red wire with white stripe is the brake light wire. I could be wrong about this but I thought this was a ground wire. Applying the brakes closes the circuit by connecting to ground. If that assumption is correct, I would expect no voltage on the wire until brake switch is activated. Maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in.
