Will A SERT help?

Will A SERT help?
After posting in the touring section I found this section and tought it would be better to post hear.
I have an 03 Road King Classic with the SE aircleaner and Vance & hines slip ons. I'm changing the exhaust out to Samson true duals with fishtail mufflers (no baffles). My question is will a SERT help with performance on the new set up or would it be a waist of money?
Thanks

RE: Will A SERT help?
I would put the exhaust on and then take it somewheres to do a dyno run, not a tune and see what the afr is first. $379 for a SERT, and a minimium of $300 for a custom map would be alot to spend for minimal gain. Should be able to get a dyno run done for $30 or less. And an fyi, even though i know that the SERT is the end all to be all holy grail of fuel injection controllers, but on the power commanders website i bet they have a map for your setup already, not saying it would be perfect.

RE: Will A SERT help?
When I first got my bike I swaped out the pipes and the breather. I did the harley down load and it was crap so I decided to go with the SERT. I am really happy I did it. With Vance and Hines staggered big shots and the SE breather I got a gain of 12 hp and 10 ft lbs of tq. It also shaved a second and a half off of my max power run. The numbers are 72Hp and 74 Ft lbs tq. I think that youll be happy with it.
