Default Thunder Heart's stand alone ignition system.

Just wondering if anybody is using and or knows someone who is using it?

If nobody knows anyone who used or is using it then what do you think about this unit for switching over from EFI to a carb

i,ve been looking for info too, but doesn't seem to be many people running them. i've seen on other forums that irish rich recommends the altmann p-3 made out of germany but with the exchange rate it comes to about $700

I've been researching the Thunderheart and plan to use it on my dyna. I know of a guy running one on a rigid twin cam chop and he loves it so far. (also on the jockeyjournal)

I have installed this ignition system on my 05 fat boy while switching to dual ederlbrock carbs, working great! easy to install, etc. Now I have a 2009 Fat boy, witched to carb again and can't get a spark out of it... don't know what is going on...

I do not know the "ALL" about this item but..... I am building a 2004 rubber-mount soft-tail Sportster. This is the ignition system that I have purchased for the bike....and YES it is perfectly compatible with '04 and up Sporties too!.... being that the system is fully programmable, an advance curve for a Sportster can be as easily programmed into it as for a TC engine. Thunderheart sells direct at a cost of under $300 US. I have not used any Thunderheart ignitions prior to this one and I have NOT actually used this one yet but I DO know that their other parts are well reported on and I felt confident that it will work for me exactly as described. Their "help" people seemed to be very interested in my use of it on a Sportie motor.

I don't know how the $700 price came to be as noted in an earlier post but that has to be shipping, brokerage and VAT charges.... maybe you need to have a friend in the USA buy it and send it to you as a "gift"....
