Default Dead battery

I have replaced the old battery with a new fully charged battery, and when I drive for 100 miles the bike is complety dead. I have to shut the lights off and keep the rev's up or Im dead on the side of the road. At first I thought that I wasn't driving far enough (15 miles) to let it charge up. But after a night on the charger I went out for a ride to see what would happen, and after 70 miles at 70mph she was going dead. Is my stater shot or is it the charging module?

Not charging. Check the battery voltage with the engine running. Rev it up a bit. You should see 14 volts or more. What bike is it?

Could be the stator or regulator or wiring.

Default RE: Dead battery

It's an 1982 FLH Classic. I have put a volt gauge across the battery and the is no change when running(12v). Have changed the regulator with a spare, but it might be nfg too. I have tried some trouble shooting with the manual and this forum to narrow it down. Maybe some new tools will help
