Default Changing Slip Ons Question

I have an '06 Low Rider (EFI) and thinking of changing my HD slip ons (SEI installed by dealer w/Stage 1 AC and HD Download) to SEII Race slip ons.

I have 2 questions:

When changing the slip ons, do I attach the slip ons to the black bracket and then attach to exhaust, or the other way around? And is it as easy as it sounds?

Will I need another download or will the existing one be OK?

I don't plan on changing the exhaust again so don't want to buy a SERT or Power Commander.

Thanks,
Sammi

Assemble to crossover tube, then attach to head pipes and bike. It's harder to get the old muffs off then to install new. Use a good amount of WD-40 in the slip and twist back and forth. The SE II's come with instructions that are easy to follow. The new configuration will require the "race" download that is only available in cartridge form for around $150.00 + labor.
