How to hook up to accessory plug on '07 Dyna?
I decided to hook up my Garmin Nuvi to my '07 Superglide. I bought the Nuvi power cord (which hooks up to a cigarette lighter). I want to hook it up to accessory power - not hardwired to the battery or the gray Deutsch power adapter that is under the seat (which is hot all the time). I found another Deutsch connector under the fuse box cover (behind the horn). So, I want to wire a ligher adapter socket to this for use with my Garmin, phone charger, or anything else I may need it for.
Questions:
1. Is this cool? Any problem using this plug? The reason I ask is that I never read on the forums about anyone using it.
2. Can I use the HD 12 Volt Power Point kit (91843-97) for this? According to the web site:
"Fits '94-later FLHR (except FLHRCI), FLT, FLTR, FLHX, FLHT, and Trike models."
I have a Dyna Superglide. I'm thinking Deutsch connectors are all the same, or am I wrong? If so, does Radioshack or anyone else make pin connectors for this type of plug?
Thanks folks...
P.S. Here's a pic of the plug (next tot he fus box) that I'm planning on using.

I like my GPS on an always on circuit, its a low power drain if you happen to forget to turn it off and you don't have to wait for the GPS to find the satellites after every ignition cycle.
Wiring to the accessory connector is also cool. I used one of those combination fuse/taps inserted into an empty switched fuse socket to power my add on tach.
