Msocko3 I actually have an appointment for a Dyno this week. Only thing I am concerned of is not having a good tuner beat on my bike. I understand that going below 14.6 afr will remove the bike from closed/open loop to open loop only, like a powercommander while using 02 sensor bypasses. Would this cause any damage to my bike if I just left as is now? Thanks.

Shouldn't hurt you any for right now, I would get it to a tuner though.

msocko3 has got this correct!!! I went thru this a couple of years ago. I was skeptical on what a good tune would do. On a '07 Ultra, I went from a Stage I to a 103 Stage II build. Was using canned SERT maps. After the 103breakin, I got a tune from a good tuner. What a difference!!!! Bike ran a ton better. The key here is a good tuner. I found several that really didn't have a clue. They would tune w/o air filter and only interested at producing a printout with max hp and torque. Didn't care about driveability or RPM range where you spend most of your riding time. Make sure you tell the tuner what you want. Focus on fuel economy or power. Or a blend of both. Good luck!

Communicating your wishes is good advise. Myself I like to have a blend of mileage and power.

Once you get off closed loop (14.6) and go with open loop (anyother number but 14.6) the ECM uses, for the most part, the VE tables.

Msock03 is talking about, are "those" numbers correct? With the SEST, only a tuner can really know.

OK had my bike dyno'd. Here is the sheet. Stage 1 a/c, Supertrapp SE mufflers, SEST. 70 hp 80 ft lbs tq. Sound right? I told the tuner to only tune up to 5K rpm and tune for best power and fuel economy. The tuner changed the VE tables, then changed all the afr to 13.2 to 1 then completed the map. The entire afr rpm band is around 14.2 as the tuner recommended that afr target. Bike runs excellent.
