Edit: I fixed the problem.

If both tumblers upper and lower tumblers are not in sync then you will not get power.



Words of advice when re-installing the ignition switch.

Make SURE you have the switch on -60 deg position with the locking mechanism open on the inside, install switch in the ACCESS position straight down. DO NOT MOVE THE SWITCH ITSELF...ONLY TURN THE KEY TO THE "UNLOCK POSITION" WITH THE SWITCH REMAINING IN THE "ACCESS POSITION" and gently pull up until you hear a CLICK!

If you do not hear a click, the switch is not locked in the tracks and again DO NOT MOVE THE SWITCH OUT OF THE ACCESS POSITION. Once it clicks you should be good to go....then gently turn the switch to see if you have all positions.

Problem solved. Whew. What a headache.

 

When I changed the fork oil I removed the bars,changed oil and reinstall.I could not get the fork lock to engage with the switch,Messed around with the tumblers for a long while.
Almost gave up until I noticed that the bars were hitting the tank consol when turned to the full left which would not allow the fork lock to engage!
