This will be crossposted into the touring section...

There is an accessory plug under the seat of my 06 road glide. This plug is controlled by the "ACC" switch which is next to the power switch for the cruise control.

Last night I was messing with the plug (using a voltmeter to see which pins were which) and it acted like I blew a fuse. The light on the ACC button went out and there's no voltage between any of the pins of the plub. 3 of the pins show ground, the 4th does not.

I popped the side cover off and checked the ACC fuse, and it's still good. I looked at the diagram in the service manual (as best as I could) and I don't see anything between the battery and the plug except the switch and the fuse. Is there something else I'm missing?

Did you pull the Fuse and check it for continuity?

Don't do just a visual... You will chase your tail.....

 

Yep, and the ACC fuse checked out fine.

Then I found the problem. The "P/A" fuse was blown. I'm not sure what this had to do with the ACC switch, but replacing that fuse fixed the problem.
