Well, I went to the local dealership to see how much it would cost to get a SERT tuned. The service manager was explaing the SERT was way more than I would need and in fact they have never tuned one at the shop. He suggested the EFI Race Fueler (32136-06) and said it would be better for just pipes and Air Cleaner. Does anyone have any experience with this Race Fueler? Is this guy right?

If all you are doing is maintaining a stock motor, Hi-Flo A/C, and a set of pipes or muffs, yes it is a good add on.....

My sugg, and this is strictly professional, is to get the appropriate stage Flash, and then add the SERF if you ar not satisfied with the results, or you have changed something (Using a non-OEM set up for exhaust), then it is a simple plug, run and tune as needed......

It is similar to the DFO, where it modifies the ECM Signal to the injectors and adjusts it to the preset (Pot switch) parameter....

 

Thanks for the help...I am going with a set of Samsons. So it is probably worth just getting a SERT. What does your shop typically charge to make a custom map?

 

With Samsons, as they are so Free Breathing (Little to No Backpressure), It would be about $250 for a custom map.....

Not sure if the SERF can handle that much of a free exhaust, you will definitely have great results with a SERT......
