Need Help: '03 FLSTCI Won't Idle When Hot
My fuel-injected Softail Heritage (Phase I) starts and runs great for the first 30 minutes. Then after it gets hot, it won't idle. When I roll up to a stop sign and bring in the clutch, the engine dies. It usually starts right away but doesn't idle smoothly. It continues to run great until the next stop sign, then the engine dies again. Until the engine gets warm after about 30 minutes, I have no problem.
Nothing lights up and there are no error codes, so my dealer is a little perplexed. He's now thinking fuel (water in tank, filter or pump) or coil.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
