Weird PC3 USB problem
I have been having an intermitent problem with my PC3 USB latley. I thought I had it fixed but it showed back up last night at the drag strip. Bear with me, this is a long post.
I have a 2004 Dyna FXDi, PC3 USB, Rinehart 2-1 and a Arlen Ness Stage 1 intake installed. I have had the PC3 for almost 2 years and have now just began noticing the problem. I have a custom map loaded from a member on here who had the same setup.
I have the rev extend loaded, and 90% of the time when I run it out hard I shift around 6000, just short of the 6200 limiter. A month or so ago, while bar hopping on night, I hit the stock limiter at 5500. We stopped at the bar, had a drink, and when we left it was back to normal. I talked with a local tuner, he never heard of the problem before and he thought I may have had a corrupt file. I reset the PC3 and reloaded the files and all was great until last night.
At the drag strip for my 3rd and final pass of the night, I hit the stock 5500 limiter on my 1-2 shift. The previous 2 passes I shifted around 6000 as I usually do.
My question is: Is my PC3 taking a crap on me? How can I tell what is actually going on in the PC3? I have been thinking alot about swapping it out for a SERT, I have never liked the fact of having something else on the bike to crap out. Bike came with the PC3 when I bought it used in 9/2007.
Thanks in advance for all the help. I figured this is the best place to turn to.
