I'm trying to get my bike back together after installing a big bore kit, six speed and a 200 rear and swingarm. Some how I cut 2 wires back by the battery and I can't figure out where they go. There is a red wire and a green wire coming out of the harness by the battery. Common sense tells me that they both go to the positive side on the battery but when I hook the green wire up the headlight comes on even if the ignition switch is off and gets hot. Also when I try to start it I only get a click at the relay.

Any help would be great at this point!!!!! I can take pics if needed.
