Default Can someone explain this?

I have a '99 R.K. F.I., and I took it to the shop last week because of Elec./sensor problems. I've got true duals, "Wild Things" High lift cams, and Stg. 1 installed on it. The H.D. mechanic dialed in my TPS, and Hot/Cold idle so good that I don't need a fuel tuner, and it doesn't backfire like it did when I had the P.C. on it. I was always told if you do any performance add ons to a F.I., you've got to get a fuel tuner. Well, that theory is shot clean out of the water.

A couple of thoughts.

Your PC could have a problem. Try running a zero map and see if it still runs good.

He may have your idle dialed in nicely but what about running lean? Just because it doesn't pop and idles nice doesn't mean you still aren't lean. I run a zero map when I make adjustments on the MM. Once I get it running smooth I run my normal map. I have a Stage2 download and have this thing dialed in perfectly, but still run lean without the PC.

Just for curiosity sake, what adjustments did he make to dial in your AF ratio? Having an old MM setup myself I'm curious how he determined whether it's running lean or rich? Or did he just set up your idle and leave it at that?
