Help.
I have an 06 ULTRA. I took it to the dealer to have the 1000k done. It had been running hot, backfiring on decel, and I purchased a SERT. I told the dealership about the SB and the 25* injectors. They were to install the 25's and the SERT and dyno it. When I picked it up they had done everything but the 25's. First they said the bike ran fine with the 8's in it and then said they didn't have the 25's in stock.But again assured me the bike dynoed fine. The results were an average 13.8 F/A ratio. How do I tell if I still truely need the 25's? I am in the mile high city and ran the bike up around 10500 feet and there didn't seem to be much difference in power and response, but it never popped on decel and it felt like it was running cooler.
I am under the assumption the dealership is blowing smoke.

 

They probably installed a canned map (1450 Stage I Race), off of the SERT Disc, and left it be.....

Did they ACTUALLY Dyno Tune it?

Ask the dealer for a Disc with your particular map on it, and compare it to what they tell you was their starting point.....

 

They gave me a dyno sheet but the interesting thing was the hp/tq numbers were way off and they were saying that the machine was in need of repair but to trust the F/A ratio numbers anyway.

 

A Dyno Sheet is nothing but TP........

Heck, I can generate a Dyno Sheet for you that will get you into the 100/100 club.....

Doesn't mean anything.....

You need to know what the Baseline Map was, and what mods they did (To the map).......

If the bike is NOT doing what it did before, well, that is a good thing......

If the bike is running strong, and you are satisfied with it's performance, DO YOU THINK YOU NEED NEW INJECTORS???

 

I will get the disc, load it on my lap top and see where they started.
As with the new injectors, I guess I wouldn't know if it ran better with the 25's or not unless they were installed.

I called the dealership and they said my map was stored in their computer but it would be almost impossible to put it on a disc for me. The bike is also still popping on decel, intermittently. Any suggestions?

 

Can they tell you what map they used, and I will attempt to walk you through a few easy mods to get that lean pop out of your tuning......

 

That is an amazing amount of mileage for an 06 even a 1906. LOL
