injectors/sert tunung

RE: injectors/sert tunung
No real repairs. They are still saying the bike runs fine with the 8* injectors. It seems to be running fairly good, but I need to load the SERT into my laptop and see if I can adjust the AF in the 2300-2500 range to knock off the decel pops in that range. It still idles a little rough when it is cold. I am looking at the maps and adjustments and it doesn't seem to be too difficult once I get the hang of it, but I imagine that that can be deceiving. I don't know if there is a better base map then the one they used.
If anyone has input, or ideas, please let me know.

RE: injectors/sert tunung
That is a weak MAP, in my opinion.....
For any stock 1450 with an AC and I am hoping that you have performance slip-on muffs, I would go with a 1550 Softail Stage I (Applicable injectors)....
I would use it as a starting point... Little fatter, and less adjustments needed for tunability....

RE: injectors/sert tunung
Hi Bob, I'm new to the forum and posted in the New Member thread:
<<Just checkin' in as a new member here. Traded my 7 year old '99 Road Star in on a new Cobalt Blue Street Glide a month ago. 1600 miles and I'm enjoying the new SG a lot. Had the Stage 1, SERT, and V&H Dresser Duals and Ovals put before it was out the door. Had it in for the 1000k sevice and custom dyno-tune a couple of weeks ago. It seems to be running well so far even wth the 8* injectors ( the custom map has seemed clear up any drivability issues that I had, although I had hope for more hp) I like doing my own servicing so my 1rst purchase was the service manual. Just put in the HD Auto primary chain tensioner the other day for a start.<G> Oh yeah, I also adjusted the handlebars, what PITA! Had to get everyhing lined back up so I could get the ignition to side back in properly, but I finally got it. LOL! Looks like a lot of good folks, help and info here. I'm sure I'll back with questions, but for just going through post and soakin' up as much as I can. >>
I see you're in Greensburg. I'm in the Plum Boro near new Ken! From my intro you can see what I've got on the SG. I've got to say I'm kinda dissapointed with my dyno numbers from the dyno-tune that my "near-by" dealer did at 1k service. I actually had to hound them for a week to get the chart. I can see why, LOL! After spending close to $1500 for the Satge1, Sert and V&H dresser duals w/ ovals + a dyno tune, my top hosepower is 62.35 and torque is at 71.11. Isn't that pretty much the same as stock? They told me this was the final run. Since this is the first time I've ever had a bike dyno'd, I don't know what to think. Seems as though they used the nr101 map from the software. The bike does seem to run well and averaging about 45mpg. Should I leave well enough alone or do you think I can do better? Thanks for any suggestions. I'm gonna try to attach the .jpg of the chart.
