i have an 1986 sportster 883 all that happens when i push the stat button is the starter relay clicks very fast. so i replaced the starter relay and still the same problem. i also repaced the starter as well. the battery is new so i dont kow what else to check for . any help would be great. i also need a wiring digram for the bike if anyone has one. the only thing i can think of is the green wiring that goes to the start may not be getting a good connection? when i push start the bike it runs fine. so it has to be a starter wiring issue.
