bike wouldn't start

Pull your maxi fuse and starter relay out and see if there is any corrosion on the pins. Clean them up and apply a thin coat of dielectric grease and re-install. (I clean my entire fuse box every 2 years). Did you have the battery load tested? If not, try that as well. You can have a battery that shows good voltage but has a failed or broken plate and will fail the load test.

i tried the bike again this morning.it started right up but just for ***** and giggles i pulled the batt again.i found a bare spot on the batt maintainer positive wire.i don't know if that was shorting out but i fixed that.will have to see if that fixed it.

bare spots arent good, could be a possibly short. I had a loose connection on my negative one time and just when I sat a certain way would hit the connection and make it loose.
