hi, I have an issue with starting my 1979 fxs-80 lowrider. After doing some tranny repair I reassembled the bike and am now having problems with the solenoid not engaging the starter gear. pulled out the solenoid, stater, and relay. all seem to Ohms test ok. reassembled and noew the starter stays engaged after releasing the start button, I am leaning towards a problem with the slenoid even though it seemed to test ok. it is fairly new being replaced this past winter. I can't see anything else to be causing the problem. took the solenoid apart and found some pitting, cleaned reassembled but still having the problem????
