Newbie trying to figure out this ecm stuff
I bought a 2000 Road King Classic in July of last year. Awesome bike with low miles. It has the screamin eagle air filter and Bub duals with crossover... i'm not certain but believe it has the stock ecm.
Several weeks ago, a local wrench messed up the fuel line quick connects (long story ) and ended up replacing the fuel lines. Since then it takes several cranks on a cold start for this bike to fire up. Once running it runs great, and when hot fires right up. Soooo.... any thoughts on if the new fuel lines have any impact on the ecm setup? Is a reprogram/flash necessary.
Additional thoughts on ecm options are also welcome. Thanks.

Changing the fuel lines would have no impact what ever on the ECM. On that bike you have two lines, one supply and one return. Did he replace the lines inside the tank ? or the lines that go to the injectors ? When you first turn on the switch, the ECM turns on the fuel pump for about 10 seconds and also opens the injectors for about a second. This primes the cylinders so to speak for start. I can't think of a reason the bike would fire right up after its warm and not on a cold start.
