Default Idle too low

I have a 05 EGC (injected) with just over 50,000 miles. The idle is going too low, just started last the week or so. When cold, it idles about 1100 rpm's, but after warmup it drops to 100 and sometime drops to below 800 and then dies. It starts back up but I have to feather it to keep it running. Its not showing any codes, and I just changed the air cleaner(K&N). So, thats not the problem. I think all I have to do is increase the idle, but that requires a lap top, right?? Can anyone help.

Check and clean IAC, Idle Air Control Valve first. http://www.*****************/forums/tw...c-plugged.html

Also might be due to low fuel pressure caused by a hole in the fuel line inside of the tank.

To access it I beleive you'll need tuning software, as for a computer you would just need to be close enough to plug it into your bike. I am not sure if some of the add on Fuel managment will allow access to that setting.

Check out Power Commander, SERT and SEPST. I ma pretty sure the last two will allow you access to idle.

deluxenut is probably close to your problem. If nothing else changed your RMP is most likely a sign of a problem somewhere else.
