Coming home from work today my battery light and engine light came on at the same time. Only had a few miles to go, and bike was running fine, so I kept going. Checked the codes:
P0562 Battery Voltage Low EFI
B0563 Battery Voltage High TSM/TSSM
B1007 Ignition Line Over Voltage Instruments

Cleared the codes and started the bike with no further codes. Battery cables are tight, ground connection is tight, no corrosion anywhere.

Ideas?

Join the party my '06 SG has been doing P0562 Battery Voltage Low EFI code. Price checked the H/D Voltage Regulator it's $198.00 and yes they have 'em in stock imagine that! They must have gold inside of them.

 

I have been having a similar problem as well. Every time I start the bike, the check engine light comes back on for about ten to fifteen seconds, then goes out. Code for low battery voltage. Took the battery out and had it tested. Passed computer diagnostic and a seperate load test. Still does it every time I start it. Put a volt meter on it and it's charging fine.

Any one have an idea?

 

Do you run above 1000 RPM at idle?

 

I am being told the voltage regulator is the problem. I am headed to Harley to get a new one for $198.00
