No Spark........... help it's getting nice out!
Ok the scoot in question. 2000 XL1200C. I have no spark. The coil tests out good using the ohm meter test. Both primary and secondary. There is power going to the coil. (White wire, black tracer). Now with my handy dandy test light, if I go to ground and then into the disconnected pink wire (neg. coil lead) and crank the bike...no flashing of the light. And not sure if that was the way to do it, I connected the wire of the light to the neg. post of the coil and the light end into the pink wire, and again cranked the engine, but still no flash.
Am I testing the ign. module right? Or am I messing this one up. If I am testing this thing right, it's junk isn't it? Please help. The module is too much $$$ for me to just get one and try it. Any ideas? Thanks for any and all help!

On whether it's the module or not and how to check it would depend on how your problem started. The 2000 sportster I replaced the ignition module on would run till it got hot and then the bike would shut down with out spark.
Did this start all of a sudden, like you rode it and it ran fine, shut it off and the next time you went to ride it, you had no spark? Some info on what led up to the problem may help.
