The Data Link under the seat pan is where it is plugged in....

The VCI doesn't stay with the bike if that is what you are presuming....

It is an interface to allow a PC to talk to and reprogram the ECM...

Good info....Was not aware this thing didn't stay with the bike. Also found out that the reason I couldn't find the plug was that there is a cable package pt# 32184-08 that the dealer neglected to tell me I needed and a software CD as well. I think I found the software program on line but interestingly enough, no local HD dealer carries the cable kit.

You keep writing in all your threads you have a SERT (Screamin Eagle Race Tuner) when in fact you have a SEPST (Screamin Eagle Pro Super Tuner) and the v4.77 software download you found will not work with what you have.

Once upon a time the SEST software could also be found on the WWW. I don't know if it still can be found on line. Even if you do find it on line, you might still want the newer version. As far as cables go, you can use a regular USB printer cable as one cable and borrow a VCI to DL cable from someone you know that has original SERT or a SEST. Later, Calvin.

Your right Scotty. Anyway, you have been a big help. Thanks for everything!!! Am picking up the cables and software today. Bodyshop just called and am picking up the freshly painted tins as well. Hope to have the bike up and running this weekend. Is it difficult to to run this program. Just installed a V&H Big Radius 2 into 1 and a Hyper Charger air cleaner. Don't want to smoke the engine so hopefully I can get this thing tuned.....
