Default Power Commander III vs. Power Commander V

I'm assuming that the PCV is the newer version I'm just kinda puzzled cause I'm finding both on ebay for the same price! I just ordered my Hooker Troublemakers (75% OFF!!! as you might have heard) for my 08 XL883C and need to know which version would work best and, if any, what would the difference be? The only thing I can decipher so far is that the PCV is smaller. All help is appreciated. Thanks!!

Go with the PC-V. Yes it is smaller but it can do more then the PC-III. Look at Fuel Moto and their website can show you all that you need to know.

The PC V is for 09 models i think - has additional functions for the o2 sensors on the exhaust side, or to overcome the removal of said sensors

Just put the PC-V on my 2008 Fatbob today and went for a spin. I had Rush 1.75s on with xieds and it ran good with that setup. Yesterday I put a SE heavy breather on and left the xieds on not much difference on perf. Today I took the xieds off and put the PC-v on. That made this bike come alive ,noticable difference. The PC-v may be smaller but still is a very tight fit. Take the battery and box off will help a lot. Ride safe Mike.

There's also a PC-V Retrofit model for pre-'09s....I installed it (replaced the PCIII that I was running) in order to add the Autotune module later. IMO, there's no decision when it comes to PCIII vs. PC-V....get the PC-V.

Edit: Also, if you get the PC-V from FuelMoto, Maps are available for pre-09 bikes (as well as a 2 year warantee)
